Risk Disclosure
Effective Date: 28 March 2026 | Version: 1.0
This Risk Disclosure statement is designed to help you understand the nature of PredictX and the risks associated with prediction gaming. Please read it carefully before using the Platform.
1. Nature of the Platform
PredictX is a skill-based prediction game using virtual tokens with no monetary value. It is NOT gambling, sports betting, a trading platform, or a financial service. All tokens are virtual and represent a limited license to participate in Platform features.
Virtual tokens have zero monetary value. They cannot be purchased, sold, exchanged, redeemed, or converted to cash, cryptocurrency, or anything of value. Token balances are not assets, deposits, or property.
2. No Guarantee of Outcomes
Prediction gaming involves inherent uncertainty. Even skilled users with deep cricket knowledge will experience losses. Past performance on the Platform is not indicative of future results.
- Correct predictions depend on real-world events that are inherently unpredictable
- Cricket outcomes can be influenced by weather, injuries, umpiring decisions, and other uncontrollable factors
- Token pools distribute rewards proportionally — high accuracy does not guarantee high returns if many users predict correctly
3. Skill vs. Chance
While PredictX involves elements of skill (cricket knowledge, statistical analysis, pattern recognition), individual prediction outcomes contain elements of chance due to the inherent unpredictability of live events. Skill advantages manifest over large numbers of predictions, not individual markets.
4. Parimutuel Pool Risks
PredictX operates a parimutuel pool model with specific dynamics you should understand:
- Returns depend on the total pool size and distribution of predictions — returns are variable, not fixed
- A 5% platform fee is deducted from each pool before distribution
- Large one-sided pools result in minimal returns for the majority
- Low-liquidity markets may have amplified return volatility
5. Platform and Technical Risks
- Service Interruption: The Platform may be unavailable due to maintenance, outages, or technical issues
- Data Feed Delays: Live cricket data may experience delays affecting market resolution
- Market Voiding: PredictX may void a market due to data ambiguity, source conflicts, or match abandonment, resulting in proportional token refunds
- Account Actions: Violation of Terms may result in account suspension and token forfeiture
6. AI-Generated Content
PredictX may use AI and machine learning to generate market suggestions and insights. These are for informational and entertainment purposes only. AI predictions:
- Are NOT financial, investment, or professional advice
- May contain errors, biases, or inaccuracies
- Should not be the sole basis for prediction decisions
- Do not guarantee any particular outcome
7. Regulatory and Legal Risks
The legal status of prediction gaming varies by jurisdiction. You are solely responsible for determining whether your use of PredictX complies with your local laws. Changes in law or regulation may affect Platform availability or features in your region.
8. Behavioral Risks
Even without real money at stake, prediction games can become habitual. Warning signs include:
- Spending excessive time on the Platform
- Feeling compelled to "recover" lost tokens
- Neglecting responsibilities or relationships due to gaming
- Feeling anxious when unable to access the Platform
If you experience any of these, please use our self-exclusion tools or contact responsibleplay@thepredictx.com.
9. Future Platform Changes
PredictX may introduce real-money features, cryptocurrency integration, or other monetization in the future. Such features would be subject to additional regulatory approvals, updated terms, and separate risk disclosures. This Risk Disclosure applies only to the current virtual-token Platform.
10. Your Acknowledgment
By using PredictX, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Risk Disclosure and that you participate in prediction gaming voluntarily, with full awareness of the risks described above.
